OUYA is no longer the only Android-based game system in town. Today, the official GameStick blog reported that its Kickstarter-backed system has begun shipping, with the device expected to be in the hands of all backers by mid-September – not facing any shipping delays like the OUYA has.

The small system will enable gamers to hook up the device to a TV using an HDMI dongle, and features a controller that’s very easy to use.

“The controllers are fantastic – the changes we outlined in the previous post have all been incorporated and we’re confident you’re going to be really happy with the result,” stated the blog. “We are now poised to go into full production.”

Look for the GameStick to ship out regularly starting September 30 for $79.99. Check out the walkthrough in the video below.
