Job Description

This position leads Laura Mercier Global Marketing with a focus on building brand equity and gaining market share by leveraging innovation and creativity. 


Key responsibilities: 


Develop and Implement Global Marketing Plans, Develop and Communicate Key Brand Objectives and Strategies, Accelerate Innovation and Drive Creativity on all product categories, Manage Portfolio Category Growth, Develop 3 year Innovation Plan, Build Strong Brand Equity and brand voice, Create Channel Strategies, Partner in Digital Strategy Development, Lead Consumer Insights & Market Research and Market Intelligence efforts, oversee Trademark. 

This position operates in a team-oriented environment and works closely with all departments, and obtains alignment to ensure consistency of message across all consumer touch points and best in class launch execution. 

This position works in close partnership with Product Development, Creative, Visual Merchandising, Education, Communication, Digital, Finance, Operations and the US and International. 


Primary Duties & Responsibilities:


Lead Global Marketing 

Lead LM Global Marketing, develop and communicate key brand objectives and strategies to build brand equity & accelerate growth. 

Develop a strong 3-year launch plan with a focus on US and Asia & the Chinese consumer 

Develop global objectives/strategies and unique positioning and concept for each new launch. Partner with internal teams to oversee the development of 360-degree launch strategies and assets including: visual merchandising, collaterals, photography and films, digital activation, Events, PR file, education needs. Drive US and International as well as cross-department alignment 

Own and drive the new launch process 

Ensure core products are supported and animated 

Oversee alignment on global marketing launch calendars per distribution channel. Continuously partner with US and international and with internal teams to share updates and gather input on global marketing projects 

Develop improved processes/communication on cross-functional work and launch strategy development 

Provide US and International with the necessary tools and launch support including – guidelines for markets to forecast new launches and limited edition in partnership with operation team, Launch strategy decks, Retailers presentations, marketing updates, marketing plan, ensure smooth and efficient communication with regions 

Manage product portfolio including overseeing integrated alignment and execution on the following: SKU discontinuations, SKU productivity 

Innovation, Strategic Planning and Consumer Insights 

Accelerate innovation; lead creation of 3 year Innovation Plan and Marketing strategic planning 

Partner with Product Development to identify strategic opportunities to accelerate innovation 

Partner with Social Media/Digital teams as well as PD to identify key trends and guide fast track innovation 

Oversee consumer insights and market research, panel analysis and market intelligence effort including competition monitoring.

Qualifications & Competencies:

Minimum 12+ years experience in beauty Global Marketing
