Twin Galaxies recently announced that they are celebrating their 40th anniversary. The oldest known video game championship was conducted on the Stanford Campus, October 19, 1972.
Guinness recognizes Twin Galaxies as the official scorekeeper and contest adjudicator for the worldwide video game industry for 30 years. They’ve created a Video Game Trading Card Set to document the history of the worldwide video game industry, honoring the industry icons, the video game personalities, the contest winners and the benchmark events and milestones.
