Microsoft has confirmed that Minecraft will see a retail release. The disc version is designed to appeal to consumers without an Internet connection.

The Minecraft DVD release will have all the content of the current downloadable version, including new additions coming soon in the ninth title update. Any further updates will require an Internet connection.

Minecraft will release on disc on April 30 for $19.99, and it will also arrive in Australia, Hong Kong, India, New Zealand, Singapore, and Taiwan in early June.
