Ubisoft says Assassin’s Creed II has sold 1.6 million units in the first week and is bettering sales of its predecessor by 32 percent, reports Industry Gamers. The first title that launched the series for Ubisoft in 2007 became the fastest selling new IP in the US. It ultimately went on to sell eight million units worldwide. According to Broadpoint AmTech analyst Ben Schachter, Ubisoft has forecast that it will sell about 7.5 million units of the seque in its current fiscal year. He calls the target doable.
