Activision has revealed that they will be holding an official Call of Duty convention. Called Call of Duty XP, it will be held during Labor Day weekend, from September 2-3 for 6,000 some fans of the series in a compound in Los Angeles.

Tickets for Call of Duty XP will sell for $150 each starting on July 19. All proceeds from the ticket sales will support the Call of Duty Endowment fund, designed to help returning soldiers transition to civilian life.

Activities at the event will include gaming competitions, a special $1 million Call of Duty tournament, the world premiere of Modern Warfare 3‘s multiplayer, the new Spec Ops survival co-op mode, along with showing off the functionality of the social service Call of Duty Elite.
