The latest version of the iPhone OS (aka iOS 4.0) has been available to developers for a couple of months. With less than two weeks until the iPhone 4 and iOS 4.0 release on June 21, Apple is asking for updated apps from developers.

Apple announced this via email and on their developer site for accepting app submissions based on the iOS 4.0 SDK. No deadline has been sent, though Apple usually gives a week before launch for developers to submit their apps.
