One of the surprise announcements by Legendary Pictures was that their Comic-Con lineup will include Mass Effect. The production studio picked up the rights to the game series in May 2010 right when interest was starting to increase in the franchise after the release of Mass Effect 2.
The panel for Mass Effect at Comic-Con will include the game’s producer Casey Hudson along with Mark Protosevich who is writing the movie screenplay. A teaser for the upcoming Mass Effect 3 is also likely to be involved.
