Sony Online Entertainment has announced that it is shutting down its Star Wars Galaxies services on December 15, 2011, including the MMO and Trading Card Game. Effective immediately, the ability to 12, 6 and 3-month subscription packs is turned off and the TCG store has closed, followed by the end of new subscriptions, renewals or new accounts on September 15 with billing ending and the game entering free game trial mode on October 15.
