Nexon and NCsoft reportedly met with Valve to discuss a buyout. The two Korean developers are said to have offered nearly $900 million during Nexon’s developer summit on September 26.

Nexon’s revenues were over $1.1 billion for 2011 and NCsoft had revenues of over $540 million last year. Valve is not a public company, but it is believed their annual revenue is between $600 to $800 million or more, with a total value between $1.5 – $4 billion.

NCsoft has denied that these talks took place. Indeed, given Valve’s stance on buyouts, it’s unlikely they’d even consider an offer ever, let alone below $1 billion.
