In an attempt to point out the more popular titles that it’s selling on its site, Amazon has added a new component to the video game listings on its site – scores from the aggregation site Metacritic.

The score is displayed below and to the right of the game’s box art graphic, giving users an idea of what journalists think about the title. Although a general score is given in most cases, not all versions of the game are reflected in the score. For instance, if a score is posted for a title released on Xbox 360, it may have reflected from a PlayStation 3 version of the game.

This feature has gone live in Amazon’s video game marketplace, so interested customers can see how new releases and older favorites rank.
