Google’s Chief Legal Counsel David Drummond, recently let loose a volley against his company’s competitors. He asserted that Apple and Microsoft are teaming up by using key former Novell patents in an attempt to stop the growth of its Android mobile operating system.

Microsoft PR head Frank Shaw responded with a large image of an email he had with Google’s legal counsel Kent Walker, which turned down an offer for a partnership over the patents. “Google says we bought Novell patents to keep them from Google. Really? We asked them to bid jointly with us. They said no,” he added on Twitter.
