Reports are stating that the Galaxy Nexus will be priced at $299.99. The anticipated flagship phone for Google’s next version of Android is price around where Verizon also priced the Droid RAZR and HTC Rezound and does not have a release date.

The Galaxy Nexus is expected to compete with the iPhone because of its suite of abilities and the ability to run on Verizon’s 4G network. The smartphone will have features like the ability to unlock it using facial recognition and an NFC chip that will let users exchange information by tapping their phones together, though Google Wallet is said to not be included.
