BioWare has announced that Mass Effect 2 has a confirmed release date for PS3: January 18, 2011 in the U.S. and January 21, 2011 in Europe. The game will have an interactive comic that will catch PS3 players up on the story for the first Mass Effect and generate a save game for them to use in Mass Effect 2.
The PS3 version of Mass Effect 2 will include Lair of the Shadow Broker, Project Overlord, Kasumi: Stolen Memory, along with over a dozen smaller pieces of DLC for free. The game will include three years worth of engine updates and patches and BioWare promises they’re optimizing for the PS3 system.
