Nintendo announced during their press conference that up to two Wii U GamePads will be usable on a single Wii U console. This is notable, since Nintendo only promised that one of the tablet controllers would be usable when they revealed the console.
There will also be a new social element called the Miiverse. Part of every Wii U consoles, it will showcase popular games, show what friends are doing and let gamers leave notes to each other via their ‘Mii’ personalities.
Continuing the social theme, New Super Mario Bros. U will allow players to leave notes in game and send text messages to each other. The game will allow for up to four simultaneous players at the same time.
