Digital game content distributor Stardock has estimated that Valve s Steam service owns about 70 percent of the digital distribution market. Speaking to Gamasutra, Stardock’s Brad Wardell says that by their estimate his company s service, Impulse, runs ten percent of the market while other services such as Direct2Drive and GamersGate have about a 20 percent share. Wardell estimates that digital content will account for about 25 percent of PC publishers revenues in 2009.  Read more at Gamasutra.
