Tokyo Game Show organizer Computer Entertainment Suppliers Association has announced dates and details for this year’s show. As reported by game blog Andriasang, the organizers are keeping the length and venue the same as years prior, with the show scheduled to take place Sept. 16-19 at Makuhari Messe outside of Tokyo. CESA has planned new programs designed to boost the number of exhibitors and guests, responding to last year’s dip in attendance. The show will have new areas to exhibit products such as the Family Corner, which expands on TGS’ traditional Kid’s Corner to allow more products, and a new Audio Visual & Gadget area set up for game peripheral hardware and devices including 3D TV. Exhibitors are also being allowed to sell their products on site for the first time. Andriasang says CESA is aiming to boost international attendance with the Asia Games Business Summit, a new event taking place concurrently with TGS and inviting key players from the game industry to participate.
