Captain America: The Winter Soldier has begun filming, and it has been confirmed that Chris Evans will be starring alongside Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow. The Avengers costars Samuel L. Jackson and Colbie Smulders also will return as Nick Fury and Agent Maria Hill, respectively.
“Captain America: The Winter Soldier will pick-up where Marvel’s The Avengers left off,” Marvel says in a new press release. “Steve Rogers struggles to embrace his role in the modern world and teams up with Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, to battle a powerful yet shadowy enemy in present-day Washington, D.C.”
Sebastian Stan, Hayley Atwell and Toby Jones will also be returning from the Captain America: The First Avenger. Captain America: The Winter Soldier is set to release April 2014.
