Scott Pilgrim vs. The World has gotten a kind reception from critics, and despite its original nature as a comic book, its influences from gaming culture are pretty obvious. Still, the openning take of the movie at $10.5 million was a disappointing measure by regular movie standards, and as it turns out, by the standards of game movies as well.

According to a list compiled by EEDAR analyst Jesse Divnich, the film ranks twelfth in game debuts, and that puts it behind such ignominious releases as Street Fighter and Gamer.

Still better than The Wizard!
