Lazard Capital Markets and Peanut Labs conducted a survey recently that showed that over half of all respondents had grown tired of World of Warcraft. 50 percent said they plan to buy Star Wars: The Old Republic, while another 38 percent declared an interest in the title.
On the positive side for Blizzard, a third of respondents said that Mists of Pandaria, the next expansion for World of Warcraft, will get them to re-subscribe. However, Lazard thinks World of Warcraft could lose between 900,000 and 1.6 million players following December’s Star Wars: The Old Republic launch.
