Activision Pulls Viral Video For ‘Modern Warfare 2’

Activision has pulled a viral video released by developer Infinity Ward, reports Gamesindustry.biz. The video depicted a spoof Modern Warfare multiplayer group protesting against indiscriminate use of grenades, giving themselves the name Fight Against Grenade Spam. The offensive acronym from the group s name set off backlash among game press and the public, eventually prompting the publisher to take the video off of the web.

No Demo For ‘Assassin’s Creed II’

Ubisoft is not planning to release a playable demo for Assassin s Creed II, reports Connected Consoles. The site sources the statement to an unnamed Ubisoft representative at the Eurogamer Expo. They point out that the original Assassin’s Creed didn’t have a pre-release demo, drawing the debatable conclusion that it may have affected sales of the original game.
