NFL Referees Might Get In The Game For Madden 14

Reports are that EA Sports plans to include real-life NFL referees in Madden NFL 14. Indications are that their facial features have already been scanned and their calls and explanations might become part of the broadcast presentation for next year’s game.

This news comes at a time when the NFL Referee Association and NFL have just come to a resolution of their labor dispute, which saw the regular NFL refs locked out for first three weeks of the season. While NFL referee Ed Hochuli performed the motion capture model for the referee depicted in all versions of Madden NFL for the past seven years, he is not refereed to by name and the in-game model otherwise does not resemble him.
