Nintendo Evasive Over Wii Vitality Sensor

The Wii Vitality Sensor was first unveiled at E3 2009, promising to sense a user’s pulse and other signals for use in games. Since then, Nintendo has been fairly mum on the device and Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata wasn’t exactly forthcoming about it when asked at a recent investors meeting about big Wii titles.

“Of course, we want to release original titles, but in order to release new games, we must continue developing them,” said Iwata, who noted that they company aims to balance games that are “interesting” and “easy to understand.

While Nintendo has trademarked Wii Relax in the U.S., they’re keeping their plans for the Wii Vitality Sensor close to their chest.
