Chipotle Turns Silver Into Gold

Chipotle has launched a UGC voting/sharing contest called Wrap What You Love. Inspired by the main creative advertising of the brand which features a solo burrito wrapped in tinfoil, the campaign asks fans {link no longer active} to wrap something they love in tinfoil, take a photo upload it to be eligible to win prizes. An online tool allows the user to goldify the tinfoil in their image. To vote, users must connect to Facebook while contestants compete to win weekly prizes like a 24K Chipotle Gold coin and free burrito cards with a $10,000 cash prize at the end. For each vote in the contest, Chipotle will contribute $1 to FamilyFarmed.org to help build its capacity to help local and sustainable food farmers. GameStop Opens A New Store On Facebook

U.S. gaming retailer GameStop has opened a new store on Facebook to encourage socially connected gamers to purchase as they browse their feeds, comment and share content. A store locator uses geolocation IP tracking to identify the closest store to the user while an online shopping cart is available to pick up a new title now. PowerUp Rewards are integrated into the tab for users looking to score points an an interactive trailer browser promotes the latest releases.

Quite Cute Pinball

Come on, get happy, with the contagiously Cute Pinball {link no longer active} featured on the Mac Cosmetics official Facebook page!  This adorable old school pinball game brings together fans on Facebook to test their old school pinball skills on a series of colorful, animated pinball tables.  Global rankings are tracked for each player that plays and unlockable achievements can be shared via a toggle switch automatically to the user s wall.  Each round the player gets 5 lives to try and unlock secret tables and are prompted to like and share elements from the game.  Floating elements on each table some taken from the line (lipstick, lip liner) and some just quite cute themselves (ghosts, rabbits, jellyfish, fried egg) – give the player points to help increase their rank.  A link to shop {link no longer active} connects the game to the official site destination on the MAC official website.

Adapt Or Die All Across Europe

In support of the release of the new film Hanna directed by Joe Wright, the official website features an interactive Locations {link re-directs – no longer active} section profiling various key settings for the film.  Playing into the survival theme of the story, a global satellite map allows the user to click on various points across Europe and explore mysterious locations like Grimm’s Amusement Park, Family Van and Morrocan Oasis {links re-direct – no longer active} .  After clicking on a location, the browser wind will calibrate into a full frame Flash window with several clickable points of entry to view photos, audio clips, story tidbits and environment video pulling the viewer deeper into the story of the film.

Ghost Ride The Web

Part of the campaign for the BMW X3 series, a one-of-a-kind web engagement allows you to enter the URL of any website {link no longer active} and take the X3 for a test spin!  Using a top down driving mechanic, manipulate the keyboard to take control of a BMW X3 and drive it across any website and tear apart the page.  After entering a URL, the user is given 45 seconds to drive across the site.  The more HTML elements they collide with, the more points that they can earn.

The Shift 2 Autolog Time Attack Challenge {link no longer available} is bringing together some healthy competition between real life drift champions and in-game players.  Leading up to launch, Autolog Challenge videos featuring 2010 Formula Drift Champion Vaughn Gittin Jr., Team Need for Speed driver Matt Powers, American Le Mans driver Tommy Milner and legendary drifter Darren McNamara have been posted to the official Shift 2 Unleashed Facebook destination {link no longer available} on the official Need for Speed Facebook page.  Each video hints at the Autolog Challenge beginning on April 4 when times and drift scores set by Team Need for Speed drivers will be posted to the NFS Facebook page.  To enter, entrants must take a picture of the post-race screen in SHIFT 2 Unleashed showing they beat the time and score and twitpic it to @NeedforSpeed with the hash tag #SHIFT2_AutologChallenge.  The player with the best time or score for the week’s challenge will win an Astro A40 Wireless Audio System with runners-up being eligible to win a sweet prize back.
