Ubisoft Looking To Bring Established Brands To Kinect

Your Shape: Fitness Evolved turned out to be one of the biggest early hits for Kinect, and has led publisher Ubisoft to claim that it has the lead among third-parties on the motion sensing device. While their efforts have seen the most fruit in casual fitness titles, they are committed to bringing their more established core titles to the platform.

“We will be bringing some of the industry s most innovative offerings to Kinect soon,” says Ubisoft chief marketing and sales officer Geoffroy Sardin. “I think we can propose Kinect versions of all the brands that we’ve got, but it is down to the production team. I can t announce anything, but we will have something for everyone, that I can assure you.”

David O. Russell Talks Adding ‘Dimension’ To Uncharted’s Elena

David O. Russell is fresh off the success and critical acclaim of The Fighter and now he seems thoroughly focused on the Uncharted movie. While gamers are wary of how the movie will turn out, Russell seems to have a very clear vision for it.

“The game is very cinematic; there s no question about it,” said Russell. “That’s what I m working on real hard and I’m writing it as we speak and I’m really excited to make it. I’d love Mark to be in it, I’d love Bob De Niro to be in it; I love the idea of growing them into a cinematic family; I think that s a really cool idea, but I guess you ll have to wait until you see the script.”

As for Nathan Drake’s love interest Elena Fischer, Russell said, “I’ve cultivated her quite a bit and I think I ve added a lot of dimension to her so that s all I’m going to say. I love the woman characters and the more robust they are, the more robust the movie.”

When the idea was put forth that Amy Adams from The Fighter should get the role, Russell said, “Oh I would love that too, I love Amy. I also love Scarlett Johansson; there s a lot of great actors I think might suit. Hopefully, we ll see how it works out with everybody who are being scoped to do that role.”
