Naughty Dog co-president Christophe Balestra has confirmed that Uncharted for the NGP is a whole new game and not a port of an existing game in the series. The story will also be a prequel to the original game, though to what extent it will tie into existing events and characters is unclear.
Balestra also noted that there will be some sort of interaction between Uncharted on the NGP and Uncharted 3. How, exactly, this will happen and what it would entail was not mentioned.

Capcom has revealed that they are launching a contest to name the allies (called Pawns) in Dragon’s Dogma. The team needs about 300 names to fill up the game and will take submissions until May 29.
Capcom is looking for three types of names: modern names (e.g. Michael, Mike, Ben, etc.), Dragon’s Dogma world reflected names (e.g. Adaro, Aelinore, etc.), and pet names (e.g. Coco, Pooch, etc.). Names are limited to 16 characters.

While the National Football League is currently in a labor lock-out, NBC isn’t worried over whether the next Super Bowl will happen or not. According to sources, nearly half of the slots for Super Bowl XLVI are taken with established clients looking to secure their traditional spots during the big game.
While it is unknown what, exactly, the rates are but it is believed that NBC is charging above the $3 million per 30-second spot that Fox asked for a year ago. Amazingly, the market is bullish enough that rates are expected to more than double their usual price-increase, up from $150,000 to $300,000.
Obviously with the ratings, we re going to push price, said Marianne Gambelli, president of network ad sales for NBC. But where it goes, I m not exactly sure yet. We have a lot of conversations going on and there s a lot of demand for it.
Automakers are expected to be a large buyers of ad time; last year eight automakers bought 20 in-game Super Bowl spots nearly a third of the broadcast s total ads. With last year’s Super Bowl smashing ratings records with 111 million total viewers and prime time television in decline, its easy to understand the appeal to advertisers.

The keen eyes at Halo.Bungie.Org have discovered the largest clue yet as to what Bungie might be making. A trademark for Destiny was filed by Podophobia Entertainment, a company set up by Bungie founder and Harold Ryan and composer Martin O’Donnell with an address the same as Bungie’s HQ.
The trademark for Destiny describes it as a computer game software downloadable from a global computer network,” hinting at its rumored MMO nature. The company also trademarked the phrase “Be Brave,” possibly the new game’s slogan.

Microsoft have revealed that a new trailer for Gears of War 3 will release on May 28. This new look at the game will come during two of the most matched sporting events of the year.
This action-packed trailer offers a riveting look at the epic-scale campaign in the Gears of War trilogy finale, and debuts on May 28 during the Champions League Final Match at approximately 9:45 PM GMT around the world, and during Game 6 of the NBA Playoffs on TNT in the U.S, reads the release by Microsoft.
The Mortal Kombat: Legacy series has thus far stuck close to the spirit of the game stories, though often differed in the particular details. For episode 6, there’s perhaps as large a divergence yet for the backstory of Raiden, though its no less interesting for doing so.
