Your Copy Of Mass Effect 3 Available Across The Galaxy

Weather balloons carrying early copies of Mass Effect 3 are set to launch from New York, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Berlin, London and Paris. The games will be equipped with a GPS tracking device, allowing fans to track their progress. When the balloons land, anyone who finds one will be able to snag a copy of Mass Effect 3 a week or more ahead of its release. The balloons will be able to be tracked via Mass Effect‘s official site. Mass Effect 3 will hit stores on March 6 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

#Fiestagram

Ford’s latest campaign for their new Ford Fiesta vehicle had them use Facebook {page no longer active}, but the real pull of the campaign was focused around the photo app Instagram. Named The Fiestagram, the campaign asked Instagram users around Europe to upload photos in numerous categories {page no longer active} each one was associated with one of the car’s high-tech features. Tagged with the campaign name #Fiestagram, each week would see a different feature being highlighted such as music and upload their photo with the appropriate hashtag. The campaign lasted seven weeks with over 16,000 different photos uploaded during this period. Those who won the weekly competition got a letter and accompanying prize including a Canon SLR camera, while the overall winner will receive a brand new Ford Fiesta.

‘Remove’ App Deletes Unwanted Elements From Photos

Though you might be loving the one you’re with this year, by the time Valentine’s Day 2013 comes around, your snuggle pie might become “that jerk who broke my heart into a million pieces and ruined love forever.”  With a new smartphone app called Remove {link no longer active}, you won’t need to even change your Facebook profile pic if you don’t want to – just take that ex right outta there. Made by Swedish software makers Scalado, Remove works {link no longer active} by taking a quick series of photos on your smartphone with a single press of the shutter button to create a composite image, and identifying potential objects you don’t want in the final photo. Simply tap on those unwanted objects later to manually remove them. Since it seems like objects might need to be moving, just instruct your significant other to walk into the shot with you or make some kind of movement, just in case.

It’s Time To Harvest Souls

It’s time for Ghost Rider to harvest the souls of the men who side with his evil nemesis, Carrigan. Play the game {link no longer active} in your browser and start by choosing your ride: the Hellcycle, Helltruck or Hellbagger. Use your chain to help the rider collect 15 souls and get his vengeance. Destroy whoever has it coming. Monitor your kill count and kill meter and use the arrows on your keyboard to control the Rider. Initiate a chain attack, chain grapple or unleash a hellfire (one per level) to get your vengeance. Connect via Facebook to collect badges and share your score.

Two Days, One Truck, 100,000+ Bullets

Twisted Metal is being reborn on February 14 for the PlayStation 3 and Sony has announced an utterly ridiculous promotion to coincide with the game’s release. Head over to ShootMyTruck.com {link no longer active} for a chance to enter and earn a spot to shoot a truck via your computer and the magic of the Internet. Log on and gain control of a loaded automatic weapon that can pump 60 bullets into Sweet Tooth’s truck. The full event runs from February 14-15 and Sony claims they’ll fire off over 100,000 bullets during the promotion, which runs from 7 a.m.-3 p.m. EST. The truck will be set up in a desert and users will be in control of an M249-SAW (that gun is no joke).

To promote the return of the Walking Dead to AMC, fans can participate in a new Facebook app that lets you experience being a zombie apocalypse survivor. By pulling profile data and pictures to create a custom video, the app shows fans the full blown action of being left behind. Starting in jail cell, you steal the keys and progress through the police station and must try and find a friend. Use everything in your power and experience what it’s like being a survivor where every step might be your last. Enable your webcam for the full blown experience.
